Community Service Providers (CSP) A Community Service Provider is an agency that provides day and/or residential services to eligible persons. Service providers must maintain compliance with laws and regulations, satisfy any licensing requirements and affiliate with a CDDO. Day Supports/Supported Employment takes place usually, but not necessarily during 'normal working hours'. Day Service is regularly occurring activities that provide a sense of participation, accomplishment, personal reward, or personal contribution, and independence or integration and participation in the community. Day Supports cover a wide variety of possibilities based on the person's identified interests and needs. These can include socialization activities, recreation, community inclusion, environmental awareness/stimulation, training in following directions, adapting to work routines, carrying out assigned duties, acquiring appropriate situational attitudes and habits, adjusting to the productive and social demands of the workplace, mobility training, use of public facilities and job-related facilities and, use of transportation opportunities. This can range from facility-based work services, work enclaves, jobs in the community, and alternative day supports and activities. Residential Supports is provided to individuals who do not live with their birth or adoptive parents. This service provides assistance, acquisition, retention and/or improvement in skills related to activities of daily living, such as, personal grooming and cleanliness, bed making and household chores, eating and the preparation of food, and the social and adaptive skills necessary to enable the individual to reside in a community setting. Services provided are based on the needs of the individual. Wide arrays of services exist ranging from a few hours of support to around-the-clock care. The CDDO does not endorse any providers. The summaries printed were provided by each agency or individual provider. CSPs Providing Both Day and Residential Supports |
